Trend Watch - The Boyfriend pant

What's the newest, hottest and rockingest style the stars are wearing everywhere these days? Believe it or not it's a recycled look from the 1990's called the Boyfriend Jean. Casual and comfortable this look was originally taken from the morning after at your #1's house when you forgot to bring clothes to stay the night. In the 1990's this look got street cred and a lot of hip-hop artists and musicians started wearing it in their videos and to music awards. The recent comeback of the stoner movie with Judd Aptow's "Pineapple Express", which premiered at Mann's Chinese theater, brought it back into the limelight. Amanda Peet showed up in this old-is-new trend with the classic rolled up cuff and oversized jean.

Only a week before Katie Holmes who is quite the style icon these days started sporting the boyfriend jean around New York City to her rehearsals for her new Broadway play, "All My Sons".

Is the boyfriend jean making a comeback? Maybe it's time to trade in those skinny jeans for a pair of over-sized comfy jeans. We've seen the wide leg take over this past year both on the runway and off. What do you think?
