Who says we don't know funk? Planet Funk is bringing the hottest girl DJs straight to you this weekend at two of our store locations. We're talking slamming hot babes working the tables right in our Sherman Oaks and South Bay stores on January 26th, THIS SATURDAY, from 3-9pm. Why? Because we so fly we couldn't help ourselves. Everyone likes to shop to good music right? That's what we thought too!

DJ sheRISE can be seen rocking the house at some of Los Angeles' most exclusive parties. With an eclectic style that spans Hip Hop to 80's music, sheRISE has been known to unite crowds with varied musical genres. sheRISE is the resident DJ for Los Angele's exclusive women's party Barefoot Lounge and is quickly gaining notoriety within the growing field of women DJ's.
Check it out, we got DJ sheRISE at Sherman Oaks store this weekend pumping some good tunes straight into our store. Too far away but still want to rock the shopping experience? Down at the South Bay store we have DJ Evoke spinning some fierce hip hop in store on Saturday, the 26th as well!!! Work it out girly.
Evoke who is super cool, has an equally cool bio:
Evoke was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and now resides in Los Angeles. She has been addicted to hip-hop ever since it was about rockin' the party, before MCs were hungry for money, when B-boys and B-girls were Rock Steady, when graffiti made the subways pretty. Evoke has held residencies and rocked floors throughout California and Nevada for the last eight years; playing dive bars, casino nightclubs, LA lounges, hip art shows, album releases and everything in between. A self-taught DJ who honed her skills amongst world famous deejays Faust, Shortee, Mr. Choc and many more at L.A.’s Scratch Academy, her next project is her first album due out in the summer of 2008. Evoke is continually inspired by the beats that make people dance, no matter where they are and how they feel.
So are you coming to hang or what? South Bay and Sherman Oaks are gonna be HOPPIN'!!
